Great Dunmow Museum
This exceptional building is also home to The Great Dunmow Town Museum.
The museum features many artefacts and displays illustrating the history of the town, including the Flitch Chair still used today in the famous Dunmow Flitch Trials which take place every leap year. Other examples of the many fascinating items on display include the 1850 Great Dunmow Fire Engine and the Fordham Lantern Clock built in the town by John Fordham in 1710.

Weekends: 11am - 4pm
Admission: Free to enter (donations welcome)
Other times available by appointment, with group visits also possible.
