We recommend that you seek legal advice to help you understand and to assist you in the creation of your own Terms & Conditions.

Terms & Conditions - the basics

Great Dunmow Maltings provides a unique venue for your events. By hiring the hall, you accept the T&C set forth by the owner, which are meant to establish the legal relationship between you as the hirer and Great Dunmow Maltings as the venue owner. T&C should be defined according to the specific needs and nature of each event. For example, a wedding reception requires different T&C than a business meeting. T&C provide you as the hirer the ability to protect yourself from potential legal exposure.

What to include in the T&C document

Generally speaking, T&C often address these types of issues: Who is allowed to hire the hall; the payment process; a declaration that Great Dunmow Maltings may change its offering in the future; the types of warranties provided by Great Dunmow Maltings; a reference to issues of intellectual property or copyrights, where relevant; the venue owner's right to cancel a booking; and much more. To learn more about our T&C, please contact us.
